Amalia Rantala Ibsen is a Norwegian/Danish photographer and artist based in Oslo, Norway. The artist, Amalia, has a multicultural childhood in countries like Denmark, China, and Norway, including a varied international education. In addition to various achievements as an artist thus far, including exhibitions, grants, and assignments.
Amalia Ibsen works to explore mediums within photography, fine arts, and graphics. With a passion for the artistic and documentary style of photography and the arts in her work. Fields which interest her include culture, travel, and societal issues, in addition to self-exploration through her work. She has photographed individuals and environments surrounding her, in addition to her travels and experiences abroad. Analog photography is the medium she mainly works with, and is a vital part of her expression and style. Additionally, she experiments with techniques and styles within the darkroom and printing.
